UNTALKED OF AND UNSEEN
Love and Violence in Shakespeare (2018)
Built with co-deviser Kirsten Mulrenan, UNTALKED OF... sets Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (the "greatest lovers of all time") against Angelo and Isabella (Measure for Measure) in an attempt to capture and examine varying degrees of gendered violence. The world is a shandy, which is a type of party you should look up if y'ain't familiar. Kirsten and I slip in and out of ourselves, the characters, and the audience in a gender-fluid space fueled by the potent, ever-alive language of Shakespeare.
